Business Background

JillMarie Wiles has an 18-year background of marketing and management. She is the owner of Beneficial Auction Services which she founded in 1996. Her company specializes in custom designing benefit auctions for clients, as well as providing auctioneering services. She is an accredited speaker and regularly conducts seminars and consultations on the auction method of marketing. JillMarie also works on an independent contractor basis for auto, estate and commercial auctions.

Industry Involvement

Wiles is currently serving a second term as President of the Oregon Auctioneers Association (OAA) and has served on the Board of Directors since 1997. The OAA Presidential Award has been awarded twice to Wiles, recognizing outstanding contributions to the association.

In 1990, JillMarie placed first runner-up in the Oregon Grand Champion Auctioneer Competition. She then went on to compete in the 2000 International Auctioneer Competition in Norfolk, Virginia where she placed first runner-up, Women's Division. In 2001, she captured the title of International Auctioneer Champion, Women's Division, in Boise, Idaho. JillMarie is one of only 8 women in the world to hold this title.

Education

JillMarie is a 1994 graduate of the Missouri Auction School, Kansas City, Missouri. She began her auction career one week after graduating from auction school, working with Team Van Gordon Auctioneers, a multifaceted auction company specializing in personal property, equipment and machinery in Barlow, Oregon. She worked as an apprentice auctioneer for two years, learning the auction business from auction proposal to the final settlement. She is a 1998 graduate from the Certified Auctioneers Institute (CAI), Indiana University, Bloomington, Indiana. She continued her studies of the auction profession at the World Champion College of Auctioneering in Bakersfield, California, graduating in 2001.

Community Involvement

Wiles is a member of Kiwanis and Toastmasters International. She is an avid supporter of Locks of Love and the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Active with a variety of organizations that focus on the overall well being of children, Wiles has also served on the Community Accountability Panel in her hometown of Canby, Oregon. The panel assists teens who have committed crimes in finding preferable life alternatives. As a National Auctioneers Association (NAA) member, she is also an active ambassador supporting the world-wide efforts of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Wiles believes her purpose in life is to be an international spokesperson and philanthropist for children's causes. She says she would like to be remembered as a "champion for children".

Family

JillMarie is the daughter of Linda Thornton and Gary Wiles, and the granddaughter of Wanda Wiles of Milwaukie, Oregon. JillMarie makes her home in Canby, Oregon with her husband, Tim Stuart, a real estate broker, and founder of Tim Stuart Realty. Together, Tim and JillMarie enjoy discovering the United States of America on their Harley Davidson motorcycles. Their trips have logged over 35,000 miles and 45 states. They have completed a coast-to-coast trip and have mapped out a dream of riding all 50 states.
